Why did I start Concordia Build?

After 12 years plus of working on my own properties and that of friends, I decided to form Concordia Build in January 2020. It was in part due to painful experiences and personal failures and also in part from learning invaluable lessons and developing partnerships with a team of multi-skilled contractors with more than 60 years of combined experience. Over almost 2 decades, I have been obsessed with inspiring teams and individuals to produce outstanding results for Big Brand Corporations.
I reached a tipping point in my own career, that I could no longer escape my childhood dreams and passion of the construction industry, even after almost two decades of a successful healthcare career and that's what made me make the switch. As the Pandemic hit in March 2020, I delayed my full-time switch from healthcare to play my humble part in the biggest National Health Service Crisis anyone in our generation has ever faced. It was a privilege and the greatest honour of my 18 year career to serve.
My name is Arthur Lewis and I am the Director and founder of Concordia Build. I had my first taste of construction and brick laying at the age of eight years, helping my parents build their first home. Since those early years, I have maintained an interest and passion for the building and construction industry. I hold a Pharmacy degree from King's College in London and a Medical Law degree from Cardiff University, and for almost two decades, I have had a successful career at senior levels in healthcare. I have won and led my teams to win several National Awards over those years. Over the period of a decade, I have also bought and developed several properties and manage over 120 tenants. I bring the professionalism, the discipline, the drive and commitment, not often seen with orthodox contractors in the building trade and as a result I approach every project with clinical precision and dedication.
At Concordia Build I will be upfront with you about the costs and provide you with alternative ideas to suit your budget. I will always ensure our contractors on site are well prepared, organised and set up the site adequately from start of your project to the end. Your site will be left clean and tidy at the end as well as managed that way, throughout every single day of the project. Our contractors are reliable, respectful and most of all work with honesty and integrity that keeps every project a win win.
Over the years I have developed an outstanding relationship with several contractors that includes Electricians, Bricklayers, Plumbers, Plasterers, Carpenters, Painters and Decorators. My contractors have been carefully chosen because they are highly motivated and also very professional and friendly.
The building process can be daunting and challenging at times and our team is very experienced and flexible to meet the evolving needs of any residential project big or small.
